Round of the Island

Hidden caves · Sculpted cliffs
Waters you only reach by sea
The Idea

Hidden caves, sculpted cliffs, and waters you only reach by sea.

A slow full loop around Megisti — every coastline, every limestone formation, every hidden passage of Kastellorizo.

This is the signature journey we recommend first. A relaxed but complete 18 km coastal route that reveals the island in full — sea caves, natural stone formations, and deep blue waters that are inaccessible by land.

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours and includes 3–4 stops for swimming in selected locations, always depending on sea conditions and guest preference.

Key highlights along the route include the Blue Cave, the natural limestone twin cave Kolónes, Návlakas Bay (the French Harbour) — a dramatic enclosed inlet framed by red and white limestone cliffs, one of the most distinctive natural harbours in the Aegean — and multiple sea caves carved into the coastline, each offering unique light, colour and acoustics depending on the time of day.

Itinerary
1 · Plakes
White limestone coves on the eastern side of the island — clear water, easy access, multiple swimming points along the rock.
2 · Cape and bay of Saint Stefanos
A naturally sheltered bay on the eastern coast, with calm water and a protected feel.
3 · Limenári Bay
A quiet inlet along the route — often a peaceful stop before continuing south.
4 · Makrí Madéri coastline
Long sculpted coastline, slow cruise, the cliff face reading like a stone book.
5 · Zephyrion cape (Pounentis rock)
The western cape. The light here turns gold late afternoon.
6 · Twin Caves, Kolónes · stop 1
Entered by boat, with time to swim and explore the dramatic rock formations.
7 · Blue Cave · stop 2
We stop outside the entrance and swim inside, exploring the glowing deep-blue chamber while the boat remains at the opening.
8 · Návlakas Bay (French Harbour) · stop 3
A dramatic enclosed inlet framed by red and white limestone cliffs — one of the most distinctive natural harbours in the Aegean. We anchor and swim.
9 · Kyr Nikitas' Cliff
A sheer cliff face we pass on the return — quietly dramatic.
10 · Parastas' Cave
A smaller sea cave that finishes the loop — soft light, slow water.

If a fourth stop is available, it can be made at the islet of Agios Georgios, at Plakes, or at the bay of Saint Stefanos — chosen on the day, depending on conditions.

Flexibility & onboard experience

All itineraries are flexible and can be adjusted depending on weather conditions, timing and guest preferences, including route combinations and duration.

We also collaborate with selected local restaurants and delicatessen providers who can supply onboard meals — from light picnic-style selections to full dining options — so your time on the water can also include a taste of Kastellorizo.
