Where Greece meets the far eastern edge of the Mediterranean.
Strongyli rises steeply from the sea just east of Kastellorizo — a rugged, almost perfectly rounded island with turquoise waters, dramatic rocky slopes and the lighthouse that marks the easternmost point of Greece.
Its name means "round" in Greek, though from the water the island feels bold and imposing, surrounded by open horizon and deep blue sea. Reaching Strongyli by boat is one of the most unique routes around the Kastellorizo archipelago — remote, quiet and unmistakably Mediterranean.
