Gold, orange, deep red, silence.
We leave the harbour about an hour before the sun meets the sea, heading west past St. Stefanos' cape. As we move away from the island, the coastline slowly quiets behind us. Then the engine goes off — and the sea takes over.
This is a short journey, but one of the most requested. Not because of what you see along the way, but because of what you are there for: the light itself. There are no caves to enter, no stories to tell, no stops to make. Just open water and the changing sky.
The Sunset Tour lasts around 1–1.5 hours. We position the boat where the horizon is clearest, so you experience the sun as it drops directly into the Aegean, uninterrupted.
In the final minutes, the island feels far away. Conversation fades naturally. Most guests stop talking altogether — not because they are told to, but because there is nothing left that needs to be said.
We schedule this tour carefully. Wherever possible, we ask guests to book the day before so we can confirm conditions based on the latest wind report.
If strong western winds are expected, we will reschedule rather than proceed into a compromised experience. This is not a safety concern — it is about protecting what the tour is built around: calm water and stillness during the final stop offshore.
When the sea is unsettled, the boat moves, the atmosphere breaks, and the moment is lost. We choose to wait for the right conditions so the experience remains exactly as intended.
